Forest Glen Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Springfield, OH is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility clean, functional, and safe for residents and staff. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, repairs, and routine inspections to ensure a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related trade, healthcare or senior living background is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable team player with good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
• Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, preventative care, and inspections throughout the facility.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Support safety and compliance efforts, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and OSHA standards.
• Help maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility grounds and equipment.
• Assist with vendor/contractor visits and inspections as needed.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and supply usage.
