Job summary

Ohio Living seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and finishing tasks across our facilities.

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain systems, coordinate with supervisors, and complete work orders within 24–48 hours while helping to keep residents and staff safe. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current certification to handle refrigerants a plus but not required.
• Current HVAC certification a plus but not required.
• Current Boiler Operator License and Steam Engineer License a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and finishing maintenance.
• Services HVAC equipment through preventative maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoots, provides maintenance, and repairs HVAC, pumps, motors and electrical/plumbing systems.
• Informs supervisor of supply and/or equipment needs.
• Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Completes assigned work orders within 24-48 hours.
• Maintains a state of readiness for survey by regulatory bodies.
• Ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• May coordinate maintenance services with other departments and serve as back-up to security.
