Job summary

ABM is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. The role includes troubleshooting, completing work orders in CMMS, and supporting HVAC, plumbing, and lighting tasks.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a pay rate of $27 per hour. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth within a large, multinational facilities

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
2–5+ years of maintenance or technician experience in a similar environment.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus.
EPA, HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance certifications.
Experience in manufacturing / warehouse / facilities / property management environment.
Welding, fabrication, or PLC knowledge.
Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliability and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to noise, moving machinery, temperature changes, and chemicals.
PPE required based on task.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
Complete work orders accurately and timely using a maintenance management system (CMMS), if applicable.
Conduct inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and systems.
Support facility upkeep including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs as needed.
Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Assist with installation, modification, or upgrades of equipment and systems.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
