Job summary

ABM is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment and facilities in a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment. The role requires a basic understanding of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, and housekeeping of mechanical areas.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years commercial or industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety precautions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs including unblocking toilets, sinks or urinals, leaks, and fountain maintenance.
• Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing bulbs and fixtures; assists in ballast repairs.
• Performs routine HVAC filter changes.
• Completes assigned preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Maintains housekeeping of mechanical areas and associated equipment.
