Job summary

ORION is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs based on daily work orders and preventative maintenance. The role covers building and yard upkeep, minor electrical, plumbing, fire safety, drywall, painting and carpentry tasks in a facilities environment.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years’ related experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to read work orders. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required; position resides at Port Lavaca, TX

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
• High school education is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical instructions.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical repairs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems to determine root cause and plan for repair.
• Performs basic carpentry, plumbing and simple electrical repairs.
• Executes work orders to high standards of quality and timeliness.
• Coordinates with vendors for major repairs or maintenance.
• Maintains safety and confidentiality as part of daily duties.
