Job summary

Catholic Community Services in Tacoma is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair CCS buildings in the Southwest Region. You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, keeping service logs and building records up to date.

Primary duties include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with vendors. The role may require travel to other Pierce County sites and occasional off-site assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in basic facility repairs including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain records of service and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds per CCS policies and codes.
• Inspect building systems regularly (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Repair and paint interior and exterior spaces.
• Keep grounds clean and parking lots maintained.
• Move and rearrange furniture; assist with office moves.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Provide regular progress reports to supervisors.
