Job summary

Boys & Girls Club in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform cleaning, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance across the facility. The role involves manual labor, light electrical and plumbing tasks, and coordination with the Service & Quality Coordinator to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma and 1+ year maintenance experience, with the ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year or more of maintenance/repairs experience.
• Identification card issued by the Employment Service Program (PRSE 506).
• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of public safety and security procedures for protecting people, data, property, and institutions.
• Knowledge of building and construction materials, methods and tools.
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials for defects.
• Ability to service, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Ability to operate and control machines and processes; ability to move materials with hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Inspect internal and external areas daily and inform supervisor of damage.
• Clean all areas daily to maintain a safe, appealing environment for staff and visitors.
• Communicate with staff and supervisor to share information and guidance.
• Perform routine maintenance ensuring health and safety.
• Clean and polish floors and carpets using appropriate equipment.
• Support the Clubs and mobilize for maintenance tasks when needed.
• Maintain or repair equipment or machinery located in facilities.
• Assist in painting and repairing doors, floors, and other structures.
• Participate in committee work and organizational activities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
