Job summary

Mentor Technical Group provides a comprehensive portfolio of technical support for FDA-regulated industries. The Facilities Technician role involves repairing, maintaining, and upgrading building systems at client sites in Puerto Rico and the mainland, with emphasis on safety and adherence to regulations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with facilities experience or a technical college degree, and a Puerto Rico driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years of facilities experience.
• Technical college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and assess risk.
• Work under supervision performing general repair on buildings, mechanical, electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform highly skilled repair activities of facilities systems.
• Maintain interior by painting and decorating.
• Diagnose problems and make recommendations.
• Repair and replace damaged parts and equipment such as sanitary devices and kitchen equipment.
• Operate high pressure water machines, generators and portable tools.
• Read blueprints, floor plans and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with movement and reinstatement of equipment and fixtures on site.
• Assist in erection and dismantling of items, fittings and equipment.
• Ensure safe relocation of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
