Job summary

Boys and Girls de Puerto Rico está buscando un encargado de mantenimiento para asegurar que las áreas comunes estén limpias y en óptimas condiciones en todo momento. Usted inspeccionará, limpiará y mantendrá equipos, reportando a su supervisor inmediato y aplicando medidas de salud y seguridad.

Se exige diploma de secundaria y al menos 1 año de experiencia en mantenimiento o reparaciones, con conocimiento de herramientas mecánicas y servicio al cliente.

Qualifications

  • Diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente.
  • Al menos 1 año de experiencia en mantenimiento y/o reparaciones.
  • Conocimientos mecánicos y de herramientas básicas.
  • Conocimientos en servicio a clientes y seguridad pública.
  • Capacidad para identificar fallas y aplicar soluciones de reparación.

Responsibilities

  • Inspeccionar áreas internas y externas y reportar daños.
  • Limpiar áreas diariamente para mantener un entorno seguro y agradable.
  • Mantener comunicación con el personal para recibir y brindar información.
  • Realizar mantenimiento rutinario y asegurar medidas de seguridad.
  • Mantener o reparar equipos y maquinaria en las instalaciones.
  • Pintar o reparar techos, ventanales, puertas y otras estructuras.
  • Apoyar a clubes y movilizar personal para tareas relacionadas con mantenimiento.

Esta oportunidad de empleo es para contratación directa con nuestro socio - Boys and Girls de Puerto Rico, en el pueblo de San Juan.

General Description

Responsible for keeping Central Office’s common areas clean and in optimal condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect internal and external areas daily, and inform the immediate supervisor of any damage.
  • Clean all areas daily to maintain a safe and appealing place for employees and visitors.
  • Maintain contact with staff and supervisor to receive and provide information, discuss situations, explain guides and instructions, and offer advice.
  • Perform routine maintenance, ensuring health and safety measures.
  • Clean and polish vinyl floors and carpets using the necessary equipment.
  • Provide support to the Clubs and mobilize if necessary to carry out maintenance‑related tasks.
  • Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in the facilities.
  • Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge Required
  • High school diploma.
  • At least one (1) year or more of experience working in maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Public Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Building and Construction – Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in constructing or repairing houses, buildings, or other structures, such as highways and roads.
  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Materials – Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors, other problems, or defects.
  • Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment – Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical (not electronic) principles.
  • Physical exams and background checks are required for this position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
