Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operations, inspections and repairs of interior and exterior areas of assigned properties. Responsibilities include painting prep, surface finishing, drywall work, and routine facility maintenance.

Strong SOP reading skills, CMMS experience, and physical ability to lift and climb are required. The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of related experience, with on-site work in Mobile, AL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable
• 3+ years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical
• Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs for procedures, buildings and equipment
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft office and CMMS experience a plus
• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls and surfaces for painting, scraping, sanding and removal of old paint
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces per specs using various tools
• Repair walls with drywall compound, plaster, and spackle
• Perform routine maintenance on facility infrastructure and building systems
• Inspect and repair interior infrastructure to maintain standards
• Move and reconfigure office furniture and workstation layouts
• Order and track supplies and parts for maintenance and repairs
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas
