Foodlink in Rochester is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities, equipment, and grounds safe, clean, and operational. You will perform maintenance, custodial tasks, preventive care, and event support across Foodlink locations, working independently in a fast-paced environment.

This role reports to the Facilities Manager and requires prioritizing tasks, collaborating with the team, and using floor care equipment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years in facilities maintenance, custodial services, or related field.
• Experience in building trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting) preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborate with staff, volunteers, vendors, and contractors.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and work order systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hands-on facility maintenance across office, warehouse, kitchen, and outdoor areas.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to keep facilities, equipment, and grounds safe and functional.
• Assist with operation, maintenance, and inspection of facility equipment (floor scrubbers, forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Assess repairs and decide whether to do in-house or via outside contractors.
• Monitor building systems (HVAC, fire protection, lighting) and report issues.
• Support event setups and other facility projects; work with the Facilities Manager to improve operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment following safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain custodial duties: cleaning, restrooms, trash, and supply inventory.
