Job summary

Oberg Industries is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician for our Freeport, PA facility. This daylight shift role involves hands‑on work to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment and supports manufacturing operations with a safety‑minded team.

You will perform exterior and interior maintenance, use grinders and drills, read blueprints, and troubleshoot issues. The position favors candidates with 2+ years in maintenance and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, building repair, or a related hands‑on field.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance equipment.
• Ability to follow work orders, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
• U.S. citizenship or the ability to meet applicable U.S. export‑control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain our facilities and grounds: exterior maintenance, landscaping upkeep, building repairs, and general property maintenance.
• Complete repair and improvement projects: remodeling, construction, and interior building improvements.
• Maintain equipment: scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to repair needs.
• Use tools and machinery: operate grinders, drills, and woodworking machinery.
• Read technical information: interpret blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems across Oberg properties.
• Support customer and production needs: transport customers and deliver dies or return dies.
• Maintain a safe workplace: keep areas clean and follow safety requirements.
