Job summary

Oberg Industries is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Freeport, PA facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve production machinery, using your hands-on skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

You’ll read manuals and blueprints, operate basic tools, and support cross‑department work to keep equipment running reliably. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift operation ability, and willingness to work all shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with hands-on experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and equipment documentation.
• Experience or familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production machinery.
• Observe equipment, diagnose mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic issues.
• Disassemble, replace parts, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Use test equipment to identify problems and ensure reliability.
• Set up basic machine tools and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
• Order parts and collaborate with other departments to keep equipment running.
