Southern HealthCare Management in Florida is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support facility upkeep and ensure reliable operations across our care campuses. You will work with a focused team to preserve safety, cleanliness, and equipment performance.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, using CMMS for work orders, reading manuals and schematics, welding as needed, and supervising contractors.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Experience with facilities maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.
