Job summary

CareSouth Medical and Dental is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician Helper to support the Facilities Department with daily maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upkeep across clinics. The role assists with preventive maintenance, minor repairs, equipment installation, work orders, and general facility operations to keep environments safe, clean, compliant, and ready for patient care.

Qualifications

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
Ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools.
Basic ability to use a smartphone/tablet/computer for work orders.

Responsibilities

Assist Facility Technicians with routine maintenance and repairs across medical, dental, administrative, and support facilities.
Perform basic repairs on doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, walls, ceilings, flooring and fixtures.
Assist with electrical work such as replacing lamps and switches when trained.
Assist with plumbing repairs including faucets and leaks.
Support HVAC preventive maintenance, inspections, and reporting equipment problems.
Assemble, move, install, and secure furniture and equipment as directed.
Maintain clean and organized maintenance shops and supply areas.
Follow infection-control procedures in patient-care areas.
