Job summary

Carter Machinery in Salem, Virginia invites applicants for a Facilities Maintenance role focused on housekeeping and upkeep. The team ensures clean, orderly spaces and supports meetings, events, and simple facility repairs.

This is a hands-on position integral to smooth daily operations and a safe, productive workplace. Starting compensation is $16.80–$21.12 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and orderly facility through cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming and disinfecting.
• Set up and tear down meetings and events; move and assemble furniture as needed.
• Clean and set up offices and assist the Building and Grounds team with minor repairs.
