Job summary

Chippewa Manor is seeking a reliable maintenance employee to perform general maintenance and custodial duties on its senior living campus. The role requires learning HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety procedures with potential cross-training.

This is a full-time position with a day shift, occasional evenings/weekends, hourly pay based on qualifications and experience, and a competitive benefits package. Immediate supervisor is the Director of Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate tools of the trade.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility components, furniture and equipment using carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical trade skills.
• Perform safety checks and regular preventative maintenance.
• Removal of snow and ice from driveways and walking paths using equipment.
• Assist with general landscaping and lawn care.
• Prepping, placement and repair of concrete work and stone pavers.
• Maintain records of hours and materials for each job.
• Assist with remodeling projects.
• Perform emergency and on-call duties as needed.
• Transfer of trash/recyclables to appropriate areas.
