Job summary

Boerne ISD seeks a Full-Time Maintenance and Repair technician to perform general upkeep of district facilities, including building structures and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sanitary systems. The role requires inspections, safety adherence, and timely repairs across campuses.

Responsibilities include assisting skilled workers, grounds upkeep, and preparing buildings for operation, with possible early hours, weekends, or holiday work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED recognized.
• Valid driver license with good driving record.
• Three (3) years' general maintenance or related experience.
• Satisfactory fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including woodwork repairs and plumbing/electrical tasks.
• Inspect interior/exterior, playgrounds, and grounds and perform minor repairs.
• Detect and report major repairs needed on structures and systems.
• Complete repairs as directed on work orders.
• Assist with mowing and detailing district grounds.
• Move, install, assemble, and repair school furniture and playground equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Prepare buildings for operation which may include early mornings, weekends, or holidays.
