Job summary

Sabal Palms Recovery Center in Brooksville, FL seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and grounds work at the treatment center. Pay starts at $18/hr with offers based on experience in similar positions.

Responsibilities include general facility repairs, safe operation of tools, preventive maintenance, and emergency back-up coverage as needed. Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment.
• Back-up for call person in case of emergency and respond timely.
• Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete reports.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test generator weekly and maintain fire safety systems.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems and repair fixtures as needed.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
