Job summary

East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our team in the United States. This full-time position offers $20.00 per hour and involves assisting with routine maintenance to keep a safe, clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform basic repairs, help with preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety procedures in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance supplies as needed.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair tasks as assigned.
• Help maintain the facility grounds and exterior areas.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and facility improvement projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
