Job summary

Calvary Healing Center is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage the physical plant with responsibilities across painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and light HVAC. You will perform tests, inspections, and preventative maintenance under the supervision of the Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years of technical or trade school preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and agree to a background check.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.
• Completion of Verbal De-Escalation Training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, and inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and testing of equipment.
• Assist with grounds keeping and janitorial duties.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code and OSHA regulations; work with the Director of Plant Operations.

Facilities Maintenance Technician General Purpose: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing the physical plant including maintenance and grounds keeping while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government regulatory agencies, while working alongside the Director of Plant Operations. This person will perform a variety of tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventative maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of technical or trade school preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and agree to a Motor Vehicle Driving Record check as part of the background check. And that record must be in good standing.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification, within 30 days of employment
• Completion of Verbal De-Escalation Training within 30 days of employment
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions
• Understanding of Ohm's Law and refrigeration theory
• Experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering
• Experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Code and OSHA Regulations
