Job summary

Calvary Healing Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for its Phoenix location. This full-time role covers the physical plant, maintenance tasks, and groundskeeping under the Director of Plant Operations. Shift varies and benefits are included.

You will perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC basics, inspections, and preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and Life Safety Code.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 2 years of technical or trade school preferred.
• Completion of safety training and certifications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant and grounds keeping.
• Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and light HVAC.
• Test and inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed.

Calvary’s proven treatment programs address the practical, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction for lasting recovery. Our flagship location in Phoenix offers onsite detoxification and in-patient treatment programs, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Facilities Maintenance Technician General Purpose: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing the physical plant including maintenance and grounds keeping while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government regulatory agencies, while working alongside the Director of Plant Operations. This person will perform a variety of tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventative maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of technical or trade school preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and agree to a Motor Vehicle Driving Record check as part of the background check. And that record must be in good standing.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification, within 30 days of employment
• Completion of Verbal De-Escalation Training within 30 days of employment
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions
• Understanding of Ohm's Law and refrigeration theory
• Experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering
• Experience with reading blueprints and understand Life Safety Code and OSHA Regulations
