Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation is seeking a Maintenance position to support the Maintenance Supervisor in planning, organizing, and performing facility upkeep. Responsibilities include inspecting HVAC systems, electrical panels, and safety equipment, coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption to patient care, and performing routine repairs as needed.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, willingness to work flexible hours, and the ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• Painting and drywall experience.
• Electrical and plumbing experience.
• Moderate to heavy physical effort including lifting up to 65 pounds is required.
• Frequent walking or standing required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regular rounds of the facility to check maintenance zones and report issues to the Administrator.
• Check air conditioning and heating units on roof, in patient rooms, and other areas.
• Check laundry equipment, including washers and dryers, and utility areas.
• Perform daily repairs as needed and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Inspect storage, work, utility, and janitorial closets for upkeep and safety.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to avoid interrupting patient care.
• Be on call for emergencies and handle duties as directed by the Administrator.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as needed and run errands.
