Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems. You will support preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations while following standard procedures.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience and the ability to lift heavy loads. Join CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team to ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations, review work orders, and help deliver reliable building operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma (or equivalent) with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Must meet the physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladder climbing, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Use established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Contribute to the team through defined duties and tasks under supervision.
• Deliver outputs by following defined procedures and processes under guidance.
