SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) in Sitka, AK is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic I to support hospital facilities. You will assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment across hospital sites and may travel to outlying communities as needed.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and collaboration with Facility Managers.

Qualifikationen

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver’s license and insurable under SEARHC policy.
Complete Lockout Tagout online course within 90 days of hire.
Complete eye wash weekly testing competency within 90 days.
OSHA 10-hour safety competency within 90 days.
Life safety 101 competency within 90 days.
Mechanical aptitude preferred.
Ability to read codes and drawings and perform basic math.

Aufgaben

Preventive maintenance of hospital and health facility systems and equipment.
Maintain systems, equipment, and tools as assigned by Facility Manager.
Document completion of work orders and PM tasks.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical systems.
Perform journeyman level carpentry duties and basic drywall/painting tasks.
Operate shop tools and light/heavy equipment as required.
Respond to emergency requests and maintain supplies and records.
