Job summary

GORDON in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. A strong electrical background is required.

You will inspect and troubleshoot issues, plan repair work from blueprints or manuals, perform routine maintenance, keep areas clean and safe, operate hand and power tools, and follow Job Safety Analysis and PPE

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of safe operation of related tools and equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow team lead instructions and/or Operations Manager directions.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plans repair work using blueprints or manuals as needed.
• Performs general repairs such as drywall, painting, and door fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of facilities.
• Operates tools to complete a job.
• Maintains tools and equipment for safety and performance.
