Job summary

Galls, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and assist higher level staff. Under supervision of the Area Manager or journeyman, you will perform upkeep of buildings and grounds, carpentry, plumbing, painting, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring tools and equipment are kept in good working order.

You will carry out general repairs, service minor plumbing/electrical tasks, perform preventative maintenance, read manuals and blueprints, and

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency with basic math and data entry.
• Strong safety practices and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance repairs on building, equipment and machines.
• Service and replace minor plumbing fixtures.
• Perform minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician.
• Perform carpentry and repair work as needed.
• Apply finish to surfaces to protect and beautify them.
• Clean building grounds inside and outside as assigned.
• Complete projects and work orders within established time frames.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and tools.
• Set up and operate machine tools to prevent damage or loss.
• Report faulty equipment and safety concerns to Area Manager.
• Respond to emergencies after hours to resolve safety or production issues.
• Observe safety rules and maintain a neat work area.
