Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Level 1 Technician (Apprentice) for our distribution centers to perform preventive maintenance on building and system equipment, diagnose issues, and support repairs. You will work under close supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes safety, basic mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to use hand tools while maintaining a clean shop and following established procedures to ensure reliable operations across our facilities.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and read simple wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems to ensure safe operation.
• Observe mechanical devices, diagnose issues, and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs based on findings.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using tools.
• Keep a neat maintenance shop and inventory of materials.
