Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers, based in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking an on-site maintenance technician to service multiple stores. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment across locations.

The role requires 3-5 years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for nights/weekends. EPA certification and supervisory experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience and satisfactory overall performance.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.”

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to building and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Assist in component replacement.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles and lifts safely.
• Log repairs and parts purchases in documentation.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Assist other skilled trades as needed.
• Audit store equipment identification lists.
