Job summary

Horizons Youth Services at Milwaukee Job Corps Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our maintenance team. The role performs general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment, with skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years of maintenance experience, and a valid State Driver's License. Completion of a craft apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry and electrical tasks.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, meters and handling equipment.
• Report safety issues and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Coordinate snow removal with student workers.
• Provide technical support to maintenance staff.
• Conduct daily building inspections for safety needs.
