Job summary
Plastipak is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain, service, and troubleshoot our site equipment within a food-grade facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary systems such as chillers, pumps, and air equipment, monitor safety and fire systems, and participate in installation projects.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of mechanical troubleshooting, basic electrical skills, and the ability to read technical documents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree/technical certs preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on facility equipment (chillers, pumps, water towers, etc).
- Monitor and test fire, access, and emergency lighting systems.
- Perform general grounds maintenance.
- Participate in installation projects and/or equipment modifications.
