Job summary

Plastipak in Champaign, IL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility. Earn $25-$32+ per hour with a $1.00 night shift differential while contributing to a stable, growth-oriented plant environment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, repair machinery, handle changeovers, and complete trainings to earn certifications on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience maintaining manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical working knowledge.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on elevated platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Repair machines and support equipment as needed.
• Execute changeovers and assist with training/certifications.

Pay

Earn $25 - $32+ per hour

• $25 - $32 per hour, based on skills & experience
• Shift differential of $1.00 per hour more for night shift

What You Will Do

• Preventative maintenance
• Repair machine & manufacturing equipment

What You Need

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience maintaining manufacturing machines & equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, etc.).
• Ability to work 12 hour night shift (6:45pm-7:15am) on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
• Solid hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical working knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving ability
• Ability to read & interpret technical & operational documents (manuals, blueprints, schematics)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
