Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair of architectural components, install building hardware, and manage interior design assets. You will work across carpentry, painting, and inventory management to support facility operations.

The role requires lifting up to 90 pounds, working at heights, and performing tasks from furniture installation to surface treatments. On-site schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to lift up to 90 pounds.
• Able to work at heights and on ladders.
• Experience with facility maintenance and furniture installation.

Responsibilities

• General repair of infrastructure and moving/installing furniture.
• Performs preventive maintenance by policy or direction.
• Repairs/replaces furniture and installs wall hung fixtures per plans.
• Uses shop tools (hammers, drills, saws, screwdrivers) and performs texture/ coating work.
• Keeps work areas clean and performs other duties as assigned.
