Merit Medical is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist in South Jordan, UT, to perform carpenter work, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing repairs within the company facilities. The role involves installing barriers and coordinating with contractors, with a focus on safety and compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma with six years of related experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA guidelines, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with six years previous related experience.
• A thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of structural construction.
• Knowledge of building codes in Utah.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
• Ability to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpenter work in alteration, repair and maintenance of drywall, doors, door frames, stairs and other building structures.
• Paints walls, doors, cabinets and other building structures.
• Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Installs barriers such as bollards and wall/structural protections.
• Provides input regarding building contractors and their services.
• Performs other related duties as required.
