Job summary

Merit Medical is seeking a maintenance professional to perform carpenter, painting, electrical, and plumbing tasks to repair and maintain company facilities in Utah. Role includes installing protective barriers, coordinating with contractors, and handling related duties with minimal supervision.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least six years of related experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA guidelines, and strong attention to detail. Onsite work with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with six years previous related experience.
• A thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of structural construction.
• Knowledge of building codes in Utah.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
• Ability to work effectively with others.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Performs various tasks in the repair and/or maintenance of company facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

• Perform carpenter work in the alteration, repair and maintenance of dry wall, doors, door frames, stairs and other building structures.
• Paint walls, doors, cabinets and other building structures.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Perform installation of barriers such as bollards and wall and structural protections.
• Provide input regarding building contractors and their services.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Lifting – not to exceed 80 lbs. (local practice may apply)
