Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform quality maintenance tasks in accordance with laws and Life Care standards. You will assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements, and inspect equipment and systems for proper function and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and about one year of maintenance experience (preferred), plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
Knowledge of local building codes and ordinances preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Inspect equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients.
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
