Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support facility maintenance and quality upkeep in accordance with Life Care standards and applicable laws. The role requires basic education and maintenance experience, with a focus on safety, sanitation, and patient care support.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, assisting with repairs, and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients.
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
