Job summary

JLL in Salt Lake City is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs and preventive maintenance with a Monday–Friday day schedule. You will document repairs, manage CMMS tasks, and support the facilities team to minimize disruption while upholding safety and tenant satisfaction.

The role requires 1–3 years in maintenance, plumbing experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Team player, self-starter, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Provide excellent customer service by utilizing professional and effective communication timely follow through.
• Effective use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), CMMS, and other internet-based software.
• Ability to use a computer and smartphone with multiple email accounts.
• Diagnose defects, and install, repair and maintain building equipment.
• High school diploma or state equivalent required
• Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent
• General Plumbing experience

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on facility equipment.
• Provide feedback to update preventative maintenance procedures.
• Maintain system documentation for repairs and changes.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to occupants.
• Utilize CMMS to manage maintenance tasks.
• Repair/replace/install ceiling tiles and related fixtures.
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks.
• Be part of the operations team for building components.
• Be available for after-hours building activity.
• Complete safety trainings on schedule.
