Job summary

The City of Elk River is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain City facilities, mechanical systems, equipment and grounds. This is a full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with adjusted summer hours. Responsibilities include HVAC and building systems maintenance, general repairs, groundskeeping, snow removal, and facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Minnesota Special Boiler’s License.
• Basic computer skills.
• One year of building maintenance or related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be available to respond to alarms and emergencies outside regular work hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain City facilities, mechanical systems, equipment and grounds.
• Perform HVAC and building systems maintenance and general repairs.
• Conduct groundskeeping, snow removal and facility upkeep.
