Job summary

Bee Green Recycling & Supply in Oakland, CA is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain our buildings and grounds, perform routine inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting, and support construction tasks and special projects. The role reports to the Project Manager and requires reliability, initiative, and a commitment to safety.

You should have at least 3 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in construction, maintenance, or similar field.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be approved for company auto insurance.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
• Perform minor repairs and address maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Prepare and set up concrete pours, including formwork, reinforcement, and mixing. Perform post-pour cleanup and maintenance of equipment.
• Support various special projects assigned, which may include facility upgrades, equipment installations, and other projects.
• Assist the Project Manager with all projects as directed.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record.
• Take the initiative to help maintain clean facilities by sweeping, picking up, straightening, etc.
• Work in a safe, professional manner to safeguard health and prevent damage to equipment and environment.
• Must report any unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
• Must report any accidents or near misses immediately to supervisor.
• Must perform cleaning duties and general housekeeping related to the work site.
• Must assist the Mechanic shop as needed.
