Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance or equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.

Position Summary

The Equipment & Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment, facility systems, and electrical infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, utilities, and facility equipment while supporting continuous improvement, safety, and reliability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.

Electrical Maintenance

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install and maintain electrical distribution systems, lighting, power circuits, and control panels.
• Perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, megohm meters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Facilities Maintenance

• Maintain facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection, and building infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment and utilities.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with contractors and vendors as needed.
• Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and equipment relocations.
• Monitor building conditions and recommend corrective actions to ensure operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, pumps, compressors, automated equipment, and production machinery.
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
• Perform alignment, lubrication, calibration, and equipment adjustments.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in equipment reliability and continuous improvement programs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Participate in safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Utilize proper PPE and safe work practices at all times.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification, trade school diploma, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or equipment repair.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, motors, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and facility systems.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• OSHA 10/30 certification.
• NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or scissor lift certification.
• Welding and fabrication experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work from elevated platforms and lifts.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and emergency call-outs when required.
