Job summary

Europa Village in Temecula, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with in-depth maintenance knowledge, plumbing, electrical and construction repairs, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Reports to Facilities Supervisor and will perform routine maintenance across hotel rooms, tasting rooms, restaurant and kitchen, as well as groundskeeping and safety duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance for hotel, tasting room, restaurant and kitchen.
• Skilled in plumbing and electrical repairs and construction.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine maintenance for hotel rooms, tasting rooms, restaurant and kitchen.
• Skilled in plumbing and electrical repairs and in construction.
• Performs grounds keeping tasks such as weeding, planting flowers and plants, mowing grass, and other duties as assigned.
• Ensures all facilities are consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Conducts maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and changing filters.
• Assembles, repairs, installs, maintains and moves furniture, appliances and other equipment.
• Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel and follows safety protocols.
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to manager.
• Follows safe working practices and uses safety equipment.
• Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records according to budget.
• Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Other duties that may be assigned.

The ideal candidate will be a "jack-of-all-trades," with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, plumbing, electrical and construction repairs. This candidate must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities Specific to Facilities Maintenance Technician

• Possesses and lives Europa Village core values.
• Performs a variety of routine maintenance for hotel rooms, tasting rooms, restaurant and kitchen.
• Skilled in plumbing and electrical repairs and in construction.
• Performs grounds keeping tasks such as weeding, planting flowers and plants, mowing grass, and other duties as assigned.
• Ensures all facilities are consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Conducts maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and changing filters.
• Assembles, repairs, installs, maintains and moves furniture, appliances and other equipment. Furniture includes but is not limited to items such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves and related fittings and fixtures.
• Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel and follows safety protocols.
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include but is not limited to repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors, etc.
• Identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to manager.
• Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
• Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records according to budget.
• Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Other duties that may be assigned.
