Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations is seeking a Project Specialist to perform maintenance across plumbing, drywall, texture, tile, carpentry, painting, electrical, cabinetry, laminates, and appliance servicing at the journeyman level.

With 4+ years of field experience and familiarity with safety standards, you will repair guest villas, coordinate in-house tasks, and document unit maintenance while using hand and power tools to deliver quality work. Strong communication with staff and guests is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and 1 year of driving experience.
• Must meet motor vehicle policy standards.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service environments with complaint handling.
• Experience in cross-functional collaborative work resulting in positive outcomes.
• Experience interpreting data to prioritize changing work tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets planning and strategies for quality guest condominiums, resort amenities, facilities and grounds.
• Schedules facility care tasks using the operations system for today and future days/weeks.
• Assigns work to internal and contractor resources, monitors pace, and advises on variances.
• Acts as the central hub of facilities knowledge and communicates with staff and guests.
• Analyzes data from systems to identify trends and advise on process improvements.
• Conducts quality inspections, maintains inventories, and performs light maintenance tasks.

Job description

Project Specialist who performs maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, drywall, texture, tile, carpentry, painting, electrical, cabinetry, laminates, and appliance servicing at the journeyman level. This position is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with industry and company standards. The role requires at least 4 years of experience in the field or in related areas. GMT-III is familiar with a variety of these fields’ concepts, practices, and procedures.

Work in a team environment to do repairs and preparation of guest villas. Handle in-house repairs in areas that might include ceramic tiles, painting, repair, and replacement of wallboard systems, wall vinyl, carpentry, cabinetry, laminates, and other related fields. Must have a working knowledge of hand and power tools required to accomplish all phases of projects. Must be able to perform highly skilled finish work in cabinetry, wall/ floor covering, and finishes, and laminate repair. Replaces glass and roofing and repairs outdoor decks, balconies, and other outdoor woodwork. Perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the leader. Must be able to follow written instructions and complete documentation associated with unit maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

• Interprets the Facilities Operations department's way of planning and strategies for managing the quality of guest condominiums, resort amenities and facilities, and campus grounds
• Strategically schedules a range of facility care work tasks described in the plan for the day and future days/weeks/months using the facility's operations system of record
• Assigns scheduled and rapid-response work tasks to available skilled internal and contractor partner resources. Continually monitors work pace completion compared to established performance standards, reprioritizes and redirects work according to changing business conditions, and advises management on variance to standards
• Serves as the central hub of facilities knowledge in the moment
• Uses multiple modes of communication to connect frequently with guest services (front desk) staff, housekeeping, maintenance technicians, contractor partners, and resort guests for the collection and dissemination of business-critical information. Talks with resort guests to triage facilities issues, set service response expectations, and validate that work has been completed to quality control and guest expectations
• Analyzes information from various systems of record (facilities operations, voice of the guest, CRM) to identify trends in compliance performance. Advises facilities, front office, and regional support on findings for process improvement solutions. Partners with the resort's Inventory Control on product trends, deficiencies, supply, and availability
• Conducts quality inspections, maintains some critical inventories, performs periodic inventory counts, and performs light maintenance and administrative tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 1 year of driving experience
• Must meet the company's required motor vehicle policy standards
• Demonstrated experience in customer service environments that include customer complaint handling and resolution techniques
• Demonstrated experience in highly collaborative cross-functional work relationships that resulted in positive outcomes
• Demonstrated experience interpreting multiple sources of data to prioritize competing and frequently changing work tasks for a field-based service or logistics team is preferred
