Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician utilizes knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery or equipment. The role involves diagnosing issues with machinery components and determining when adjustments or repairs are needed. The incumbent will have increasing responsibilities with experience and expertise. Forklift repair is required. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Career Path Definitions & Distinctions
B Technician: Demonstrates understanding of Level C skills and equipment, with increasing knowledge of Level B skills. Mechanical skills include greasing bearings, understanding belts, lubrication, and using lifts. Electrical skills include wiring, resetting breakers, and reading labels.
A Technician: Demonstrates understanding of Level B skills, beginning to acquire Level A skills. Mechanical skills include changing bearings, gearboxes, shafts, welding, and troubleshooting motors. Electrical skills include wiring, troubleshooting, and testing components.
Master Technician: Demonstrates full understanding of Levels C, B, and A skills and equipment. Mechanical skills include welding and rebuilding gearboxes, pumps, and motors. Electrical skills include reading schematics, control wiring, and load calculations. They can lead and train small teams.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 1-5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, and be legally eligible to work in the US. Must be at least 18 years old, able to work overtime, and capable of lifting 50 pounds frequently. Good listening, problem-solving, multitasking, and English language skills are required.
