A growing manufacturing and automation company in the Rochester Hills area is expanding and looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and monitor building systems including plumbing, electrical, and compressed air.
Manage daily facility issues using a digital work order system.
Support preventive/predictive maintenance planning with vendors.
Assist with capital projects, equipment selection, and cost-saving initiatives.
Maintain building systems, including HVAC via BAS system, and perform hands-on repairs (e.g., doors, furniture, plumbing).
Operate energy management systems and ensure service quality through regular audits, including work at heights.
Flexibility to work overtime or respond to urgent requests as needed.
Requirements:
Ability to read construction documents and blueprints.
Solid knowledge of HVAC, compressors, and general building systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Familiarity with MIOSHA standards and facility safety procedures.
Trade school or technical degree preferred; minimum 5 years of experience in plant/facility operations.
Experience working with and managing external contractors.
HVAC controls programming experience is a plus.
