Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Powell, Ohio. This role oversees HVAC and general maintenance to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

You will perform routine upkeep on facilities, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, aiming to reduce equipment failures and improve comfort year-round. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of maintenance experience, HVAC knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and follow safety and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current certification to handle refrigerants a plus but not required.
• Current HVAC certification a plus but not required.
• Current Boiler Operator License and Steam Engineer License a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and finishing, and maintenance on facilities, equipment, grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, etc.
• Service HVAC equipment through preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance cycles.
• Troubleshoot, provide maintenance, and repair HVAC, pumps, motors, electrical, plumbing systems per NEC and local codes.
• Inform supervisor of supply and/or equipment needs.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks and complete work orders within 24-48 hours.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and ensure clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments as needed.
• Serve as back-up to security and complete rounds/reports as required.
