Wianno Club is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical/plumbing tasks across the Main Club campus. The role requires work outdoors and on-call support for major events in a private club setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in maintenance or related trades, can operate light tools and a utility vehicle, and follow OSHA safety guidelines while delivering strong customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in maintenance, construction, or trade.
• Ability to operate small utility vehicles and a range of tools.
• Experience with carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
• Strong verbal and written communication; customer service mindset.

Responsabilités

• Work in multiple areas on the Main Club campus.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as directed.
• Perform painting and carpentry duties based on skill level.
• Perform plumbing and electrical diagnosis and repair as capable.
• Light janitorial duties such as outside furniture cleaning and trash pickup.
• Be on site or on call for major club events as maintenance needs arise.
• Occasionally rake and load seaweed on beach using tools; operate tractor safely.
• Attend heat training class and follow OSHA practices.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Status:

Year-Round, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Responsibility:

Medium level of supervision needed. Medium level of operational decision-making.

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Supervises: On occasion, Beach crew, temporary help, and vendors

Skill:

Basic Administrative Skills - Use of technology, verbal and written communication, business correspondence, organization, and time management.

Basic Supervisory Skills - Communication, leadership, conflict resolution, motivation, interpersonal skills, understanding diversity and generation differences

Advanced Teamwork and Communication Skills - Interact, work and relate with people, listen, speak, read, write, observe, use English fluently.

Advanced Customer Service Skills - Product knowledge, problem-solving skills, time management, attentiveness, patience, positive attitude, a willingness to go the extra mile, responsibility, professionalism.

Excellent Safety Skills - Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, CPR and First Aid.

Advanced Driving Skills - Posses a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Experience - 3-5 years in maintenance, construction, or trade.

Maintenance and Repairs - Must have the ability to operate small utility vehicles, miscellaneous power and hand tools, traverse ladders safely, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs while observing OSHA approved personal safety guideline practices.

Effort:

High - Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 pounds.

Work Conditions:

Level 4 - Often outdoors, working in hot/cold environments, inclement weather, variable schedule based on business demands (at times working weekends, holidays, and late evenings), often duties require working with hazards.

Duties:

• Work in multiple areas on the Main Club campus
• Perform general maintenance tasks as directed
• Perform painting and carpentry duties dependent on skill level
• Perform plumbing and electrical diagnosis and repair dependent on skill level
• Perform light janitorial duties such as outside furniture cleaning, trash pickup
• Be on site or on call for major club events as maintenance needs arise
• Occasionally rake and load seaweed on beach into utility trailer using miscellaneous hand tools, safely drive tractor up and down ramp to disposal area
• Attend heat training class and observe best practices at all times per OSHA regulations
• Must possess awareness of surroundings and unique demands of being in private club setting.
• Must possess ability to multitask and perform time sensitive tasks efficiently while working around club member activities.
