EMSA- Emergency Medical Services Authority is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. You will conduct inspections, respond to work orders, and handle general repairs to ensure safe, functional facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Perform daily building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and minor repairs.
  • Perform general repairs including drywall, doors, fixtures, and other structural elements.
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the building, including machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of building exteriors and grounds, including landscaping, mowing, flower bed upkeep, snow removal, and trash collection.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings, events, or facility changes.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials; report needs to Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Maintenance Manager and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Support emergency response efforts such as power outages, leaks, or weather-related damage.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Support emergency response efforts such as power outages, leaks, or weather-related damage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.

  • This position also demands the ability to meet deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to use proper English grammar and spelling are essential.
  • Intermediate math skills, including addition and subtraction, are frequently used to perform job duties.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or special projects.
  • The Technician may occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 100 lbs., with a maximum lifting requirement of 50 lbs. Operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment may be required

  • The work environment for this position is dynamic and often unpredictable, with duties performed both indoors and outdoors.
  • The technician may be exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, fumes, grease, or oil.
  • Ventilation may sometimes be limited, and noise levels can be loud due to frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and machinery.
  • This role requires frequent walking, standing, and physical movement, including crouching, bending, twisting, or kneeling.
