Job summary

Wasatch Product Development is seeking a Facilities Tech Support to assist the Facilities Supervisor with the operation, maintenance, and repair of facility systems, equipment, and grounds. The role includes preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure a safe, compliant working environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, maintaining records, supporting renovations, and ensuring HVAC and process systems run reliably.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and building infrastructure.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with outside contractors as directed.

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

The Facilities Tech Support position is responsible for assisting with the Facilities Supervisor, operation, and repair of facility systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. This role performs preventive maintenance, monitors facility utilities and equipment, supports construction and renovation projects, and assists in maintaining facility records and operational logs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and building infrastructure.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities with outside contractors as directed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in required training programs.
• Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with facility improvement, construction, and renovation projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
• Change HVAC filters as required and assist in maintaining HVAC systems.
• Maintain and service evaporative coolers.
• Service and maintain the process water system, including daily inspections and completion of required logbooks.
• Service and maintain steam generators, including daily monitoring and documentation of operating conditions.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks according to the established preventive maintenance schedule.

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently when required.

• Support troubleshooting of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
