The Facilities Maintenance Technician I schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on facility and manufacturing equipment, assists with repairs, and supports onboarding of new technicians.

Reporting Relationships

The Technician reports to the Area Department Supervisor or Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Schedule and perform Preventive Maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
2. Support technicians with repairs and maintenance activities.
3. Adhere to all safety requirements and communicate risks.
4. Maintain a safe, organized work environment following 5S standards.
5. Maintain reliable attendance.
6. Contribute to company culture and communicate professionally.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and vacuum principles.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to document work effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or rooftops.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Wear PPE as required.
